Ravellenics Day 5

Days Remaining: 11

Skeins Knit: 4

I need to be knitting faster, but I've been a bit distracted.

Now you understand why I try to do all housework in one day. Pasha skipped his morning nap so this is what we did while waiting for loads of laundry. Well I say he skipped his morning nap, but he ended up taking an abbreviated version while we visited his dad for lunch. All of that added up to not quite finishing the fourth skein of yarn until the start of the men's gymnastics all-around this afternoon.

I don't have anything really insightful to say at this point. Broken rib in the round is not quite mindless but not super involved either. I am starting to get some pain in my left wrist, so you might see my progress slow down a bit. The way I knit, I tension the yarn with my left hand and keep that wrist pretty immobile, so I think the strain of marathon knitting is starting to wear on it. Not that I'm not used to knitting a lot, but it has been a while since I have knit something this heavy on such large needles. And if there's any doubt that it is large, I did have a barista ask me if I was knitting a baby blanket while I was knitting in the drivethru.

Alright, back to the knitting.

PS: this US swim fan was SUPER excited about the race results last night. I might love cheering for underdogs, but I can't stand when people are prematurely smug.
