Oh my goodness, where has the time gone? When last we spoke it was Thanksgiving, and now I’m staring down the barrel at Christmas trying not to panic. I swore that I was not going to do any holiday knitting this year, but then I remembered the Christmas stockings that I didn’t finish last year.
I’m hoping to get them done in time for Christmas with my family which is the weekend before actual Christmas. I’m using Ysolda Teague’s Last Minute Christmas Stockings and a big pile of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes. One would think that worsted weight on such large needles would go quickly. One would be wrong.
I don't know what it is about knitting on a deadline, but my knitting progress slows to just enough of a crawl that I can see progress but am not actually getting anywhere. The black hole of knitting is an unpredictable foe, popping out when least expected. I am trying to be good and stay focused, but it's just so hard when other pretties keep popping up in the mail.
As soon as these stockings are done, this baby is going to be some legwarmers.
